Massage Treatments

Deep Tissue/Sports Massage: This treatment is a relaxing deep pressure massage that can incorporate stretching, trigger-point therapy, & postional release therapy as needed. This massage will stimulate ciriculation, help increase removal of waste products, relieve muscle tension and soreness, and increase range of muscle movement.

Lymphatic Drainage: This treatment is a light pressure massage to stimulate circulation; help increase removal of toxins bby using draining techniques on the skin surface. This type of massage is great for edema and post cancer conditions.

Reflexology: type of massage that uses pressure paterns on the soles of the feet to reconnect meridians/energy in the body. The points that the therpist will press are directly connected to an organ in the body. The pressure will help to stimulate the organs and encourage elimination of waste products and relieve muscle tension and soreness.

Aromatherapy massage: The refreshing blend of aromatherapy oils will stimulate your senses and awaken your mind as your enjoy a relaxing massage. The aroma will be selected and blended at time of treatment according to the client's specified problem areas and frangrance request. Aromatherapy massage can be given with light or deep pressure depending on the request of the client.

Hot Rock Massage: This is an advanced therapueutic massage that uses warmed stones that are used and placed on different areas of the body. The warm stones penetrate deep heat into the muscles and release stubborn muscles and trigger points. As the stones cool they are lifted from the body. It is an experience!

Bamboo Massage: Bamboo massage is a technique that incorporates bamboo stalks of varying lengths and diameters to provide deep-tissue work. Traditional Chinese medicine sticks are heated and essential oils are sometimes incorporated into the massage. The massage itself promotes circulation, sensory nerve perception, and lymphatic drainage and provides a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.

Swedish Massage: A relaxing light to medium pressure massage using long flowing strokes. This massage stimulates circulation, helps increase removal of toxins, relieve muscle tension and soreness and conditions of the skin with application of various oils.

Postional Release Therapy: Positional Release Therapy (PRT) is a method of total body evaluation and treatment using tender points and body positions of comfort to resolve pain or dysfunction. Its ultimate goal is to correct imbalances in the musculoskeletal system to improve health and function.
Positional Release Therapy Helps:

This is accomplished by decreasing protective muscle spasm, tendon or ligament tension, joint hypomobility, pain, & muscle moblility.

Pillossage: This is a new modality that combines hands-on techniques with specifically designed thermal flax pillows. These innovative protocols deepen the therapeutic effect. Pillossage uses touch, ranging from light to specific deep compressions, through heated flax pillows. This modality is a whole-body sequence that can be added to a massage therapist's menu selection or custom-tailored to address specific client needs. Pillossage involves thermal connective-tissue release techniques, such as wave-like compressions. This initiates relaxation to decrease guarding and creates a calming massage session for both body and mind. Pillossage techniques are ideal for clients who need a gentler touch, such as the elderly or when recovering from surgery, as well as clients who may have fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraine, sinus problems, repetitive stress injuries and low-back pain.

Infant/Child massage: Infant massage is the process of light relaxing touch and movement to the infant's muscles in a manner specifically designed for them. Studies have shown that infant massage alleviates the stress that newborns experience as a result of the enormous change that birth creates. Massage enables a smoother transition from the comfortable womb to that of humankind.

Pregnancy massage: This is a relaxing light to medium pressure massage designed for pregnant women. This massage will stimulate circulation and relax muscles. The massage is done side lying to keep client and baby comfortable by use of large body pillows.

Geriatric massage: this therapy is designed to address the specific needs of the elderly population. This type of massag uses gentle and light application of massage techniques and can include passive stretching and a light oil or lotion to permit your muscles to be worked on without causing excessive friction to the skin. These techniques can help enhance blood circulation, combat depression, improve balance and flexibility, reduce the pain of arthritis, increase joint mobility, improve posture, and encourage overall well-being.
